1. Introduction

AniTrack ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application AniTrack ("the App").

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, display name, and profile picture
- Authentication data: when you sign in with Apple, we receive your name and email from Apple
- Anime tracking data: your watchlist, episode progress, and ratings
- Onboarding preferences: your persona type (Casual Watcher, The Completionist, or The Flexer) and genre preferences
- Import data: the MyAnimeList or AniList username you type, if you choose to import a public list

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device information: device type, operating system version
- Usage data: app interactions, features used, screens viewed (via PostHog analytics)

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect location data
- We do not collect contacts or address book data
- We do not collect health or fitness data
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
- This version of the App sends no push notifications and collects no push notification tokens
- This version of the App does not request or access your calendar
- We do not collect written reviews; ratings are a numeric score only

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Manage your account and provide customer support
- Generate personal statistics (watch time, top genres, etc.)
- Show a Discovery queue of popular anime, each with its community score from AniList
- Process subscriptions and payments (via RevenueCat and Apple)
- Analyze app usage to improve features (via PostHog analytics)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL). We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth with support for:
- Email/password authentication
- Apple Sign-In

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share your data only with:
- Supabase: database and authentication provider
- PostHog: anonymous usage analytics
- RevenueCat: subscription management (Apple purchase data)
- Apple: payment processing for subscriptions
- AniList (graphql.anilist.co): to fetch anime catalog data. No personal data is sent, except that if you import an AniList list, the AniList username you type is sent so that public list can be read.
- Jikan (api.jikan.moe) and MyAnimeList (myanimelist.net): only if you import a MyAnimeList list. The MyAnimeList username you type is sent to Jikan, an independent third-party MyAnimeList API, and to MyAnimeList itself, so that the public list under that name can be read. Nothing else about you is sent.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data (Settings > Account > Delete Account)
- Export your data (contact us at admin@agenticfactory.app)

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all your personal data is permanently removed from our systems, including:
- Your user profile
- Your anime tracking data
- Your watchlists and ratings
- Your preferences and settings

8. Children's Privacy

AniTrack is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

10. Analytics

We use PostHog for anonymous usage analytics to understand how users interact with the App and improve the experience. PostHog data is anonymized and does not include personally identifiable information.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the App. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
